John Boos & Co.

Cut from select northern hard rock maple, these blocks provide extremely durable work surfaces whilst being easy on knives and resisting nicks and gouges.

Each unit below is delivered fully assembled by a dedicated two man delivery service at no extra charge.

John Boos & Co was originally founded in 1887 as a blacksmiths shop in Illinois, USA. The blacksmiths used the trunk of a sycamore tree to straighten the horseshoes, absorbing the shock of the blacksmiths hammer. As the local butcher passed by the shop, he noticed the block where the anvil was resting and thought it would be perfect for use in his shop. John Boos kindly agreed to produce one for him and the rest is history.

John Boos is now a highly respected manufacturer of butchers blocks, cutting boards and kichen worktops, supplying to both commercial and domestic customers, even the White House!

The Broadway

Full of charm and character the Broadway offers a rustic design with the maximum of preparation space. The large 10cm thick end grain hard rock maple block is perfected with a Varnique finish to ensure the utmost durability and longevity of appearance. Two wicker drawers, providing the perfect storage for fresh fruit and vegetables are accessible from either side of the block making the Broadway the perfect kitchen centrepiece. The distressed rustic grey finish of the lower slatted shelf and panelled legs only enhance the charm of this butchers block. The Broadway is certain to be a real showstopper in any kitchen.

The Brooklyn

The Brooklyn breaks with the austere look of coventional butchers blocks, providing a refreshing, contemporary alternative. Designed to fulfil the strictest criteria of the most demanding commercial kitchens, this block provides a 12.7cm thick end grain hard rock maple top with oil finish on all surfaces. The strong tubular storage shelf, towel bar and legs are built from food service grade stainless steel, making this block not only a sleeker option, but also extremely hygienic and easy to clean. Commercial grade 7.6cm lockable casters provide mobility whilst ensuring the block can be securely locked into position.
