The KE-3000 Professional Electric Knife Sharpening Machine has been introduced to bridge the gap between the domestic model, KE-198 and the multi-award winning commercial machine, the KE-280.

The KE-3000 is not designed for continuous commercial use, as is the KE-280. The typical customer profile would be an individual professional chef or simply a private individual, maybe a keen amateur chef, who wishes achieve the ultimate cutting edge their knives can achieve (it is a fact that the better the quality of the cutting edge steel, the better the ultimate finished edge)

The KE-3000 will sharpen virtually any knife, straight, curved, serrated and exotic Japanese steel knives to as new or better standard and whilst we can’t promise it will make you a better cook, having razor sharp knives for preparation and carving certainly helps.

The Knife Wizard KE198 is a precision machine designed to last for many, many years.
A blunt knife is a dangerous knife and can slip easily when preparing food. Sharp knives slice through meat and vegetables with very little pressure and make food preparation a joy. Even relatively inexpensive knives can be bought to razor sharpness IN SECONDS

How it works - There are two spring loaded grinding wheels (coarse and fine), which apply a controlled pressure to the blade of the knife.

The grooves in each section hold the knife at a 15º angle giving you a perfect cutting edge which is impossible when using a steel.

The left groove in each section sharpens the right hand side of the knife and the right groove, the left side.

The knives are sharpened in the coarse section and polished to a razor finish in the fine.

Chefs knives, steak knives, cleavers, and even serrated knives can be sharpened perfectly.

*There are special sharpening instructions enclosed with each machine for sharpening Japanese steel knives.
